Glenn Thompson OAM continues to contribute to the continuing education of practitioners in Family Law. On the 10th February 2023, Glenn presented a webinar for the Television Education Network, which provides professional development for lawyers and delegates in a variety of legal fields. The presentation Glenn conducted was focused on the foundations and basics of Affidavit drafting in Family Law.
In summary, Glenn broke down what an affidavit is, the formal requirements as well as discussing drafting parenting affidavits in accordance with Section 69ZT. Glenn talked practitioners through a case theory which explored a practical way to draft affidavits by applying drafting skills to particular facts while abiding by the formal requirements under the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (Family Law) Rules 2021.
